  Durham, N.C., - July 15, 2010 - Modality, Inc., the premier mobile learning architects for iPhone®, iPod touch® and iPad™, today reported that nursing students are embracing NCLEX prep on iPhone and iPod touch with its popular line of nursing apps. The National Council Licensure Examination, or NCLEX, is a required examination that tests the entry-level nursing competence of candidates. According to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, who administers the exam, more than 285,000 individuals took the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN examinations between October 2008 and September 2009.

The United States Medical Licensing Examination, or USMLE, is a required three-step examination that tests students' preparedness for medical practice.

  Modality's USMLE prep apps offer blocks of 50 to more than 1,000 board-style questions for Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 3, from leading brands like First Aid, Lange, PreTest, and USMLE Consult. Questions are categorized according to content area, allowing users to build customized quizzes based on their study preferences at any given time. Detailed statistics indicate the user's strong and weak spots to deliver a more streamlined approach to studying. Question browser mode provides unscored review of all content sections, and each app includes the ability to bookmark and save specific questions for further study.
